Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Training

As a community committed to racial justice we recognize the importance of learning how racism in the United States shapes our collective and individual experiences, and how we can be active participants in creating a racially just world, including Emergence. To that end, each of us commits to taking one or more courses focused on the issues of diversity, equity and inclusion. The following is a list of courses created by Burning Man's Radical Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity project ("R.I.D.E.") that fulfill this commitment. Note, you must first sign up for Burning Man Hive (the free Burning Man social platform) to access these courses. You need only complete one course, but we encourage you to take them all:

There are many other fantastic courses on DEI, leadership and others topics, but these three are the ones that will satisfy your Emergence DEI training requirement by default. If you would like us to consider other courses/trainings please let us know.
